LONDON, ON – Dayco, a global leader in the research, design, manufacture and distribution of essential engine drive systems and aftermarket services for automotive, truck, construction, agriculture, and industrial applications, will return as a race entitlement sponsor for the APC United Late Model Series in 2021.
For the third consecutive season the powerhouse brand has partnered with the United Racing Series for the Dayco 100 at Sunset Speedway on August 14th. The fifth race of the 2021 race season for the APC United Late Model Series is sandwiched between a Qwick Wick Super Stock series stop at Peterborough Speedway and an APC Late Model event at Sauble Speedway on the calendar and is amidst a grueling mid-summer slate of races that sets up for a key run in the championship race.
Sunset Speedway always plays host to high quality racing with its multiple grooves and high banks. In 2020, the solo Sunset Speedway event saw a wild finish with Jo Lawrence and Brandon Watson duelling it out to the checkered flag and crashing across the finish line. Lawrence won the event, one of his four victories in his championship season. Historically, 67% of the time the series champion wins a race at Sunset Speedway and in each of the six seasons the eventual series champion has earned a podium at the Innisfil, Ontario Speedway.
